Behaviors are considered abnormal where the reaction of a person or rather their emotional state at a particular moment does not relate to the situation or events taking place at the moment.Question 1Some abnormal behaviors are induced by substances ingested or used in one way or another and hence leading to a psychological disorder known as substance induced disorder. However, most of this substance is available and used in our daily lives. However, When substances are used in such a way that they do no bring about judgment or functional impairment ,it is considered as substance use though ,the moment the use of the same substance induces damaging consequences such as truancy ,careless driving ,personal and family negligence it is regarded to as substance abuse. The definition of substance abuse doe s not consider the amount of substance or even the type of substance used, the key feature of drug abuse is whether the sequence and act of substance use is related to functional impairment. Consequently, substance abuse may lead to substance dependence which is more lethal as it may cause more harm to the individual and the society. The theory explains that Schizophrenia is brought about by inheritance of Schizophrenia genes from parent that are further influenced and catalyzed by the environment. The model asserts that families with Schizophrenia history are more likely to experience a similar case in future. Environmental aspects such as distress, depression and stress influence development and exposure of Schizophrenia. This psychological disorder associated with hallucination s and brings about distress to the patient as it is featured with anti-social behavior, maladaptive behavior and bizarre interpretation of reality. However, this behaviors or symptoms may be positive or negative in relation to their effects on the individual and the society. Positive symptoms associated with schizophrenia include Hallucinations are a situation where a schizophrenic person hears, smell and feels things that are not actually there. They may hear voices of command, advice and warning.Schizophrenic people may display symptoms of delusions where he or she begins adapting believes that are impossible, bizarre or not part of the society culture delusions may be paranoid or even disturbing .Thought management disorder is common to people with schizophrenia. Thought disorder come about where ones thoughts are chronologically disordered ,this disorder is commonly identified when conversing with a schizophrenic person where he displays impaired order of thoughts in speech.People with schizophrenia may have movement disorder repetition of certain body movement whether sited or walking is a sigh of movement disorder. However, movement disorder is also linked to a state where a person does no move at all and does not respond to other movement around.These symptoms are regarded as positive as they are harmless to the society as well as to the individual. Negative symptoms are harmful to the individual as they bring about distinct change in emotion and behavior.
